Flexel ECOFLOOR Underfloor Heating Cable Mat
Flexel ECOFLOOR Underfloor Heating Cable Mat
Price includes VAT Shipping calculated at checkout.
A slim electric heating mat made from twin conductor heating cable fixed to a fibreglass mesh, designed to sit under tiles, stone, slate and marble. Use it as the main heat source for a room or as a top-up to give you a warm floor underfoot.
Two outputs are available: 150 W/m² for kitchens, bathrooms and other indoor rooms, and 200 W/m² for conservatories and spaces that lose heat quickly. It is safe to use in bathrooms and wet rooms.
Full features, controls, installation notes and specifications are below.
Key features
- Twin conductor heating cable, so there is only one 3 m cold tail to connect at one end of the mat
- Continuous metallic earth screen along the cable for electrical safety
- Thin 3.0 to 4.0 mm cable keeps the floor build-up low
- Mats are 0.5 m wide and simply roll out across the floor
- Self-adhesive tape on the underside holds the mat in place on any clean subfloor
- Safe for bathrooms, en-suites and wet rooms
- Meets electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements
Choosing the output
- 150 W/m²: kitchens, bathrooms and most indoor rooms
- 200 W/m²: conservatories and rooms with higher heat loss
- Choose the mat size closest to the free floor area to be heated, leaving out areas under fitted units, baths and shower trays
Controls
- Every mat needs a floor-sensing thermostat. We recommend our FlexelTouch Touch Screen Thermostat, which comes with a floor probe
- For control from your phone, the FlexelTouch WiFi Thermostat is also suitable
- See all options in our thermostat range
Installation
- Roll the mat out and stick it down on a clean subfloor; to turn at the edges of the room, cut the mesh only, never the heating cable
- Tile, stone, slate or marble can be laid directly over the mat using a flexible tile adhesive
- Approved to EN 60335-2-96, as required by the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Must be connected and tested by a qualified electrician; our official installation partner, Standard Electrical Services, can fit the mat and thermostat for you
What's included
- Heating mat of your chosen size and output with a 3 m cold tail fitted. Thermostat sold separately.
