This policy explains how Infrared Heating UK Ltd ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit our website, contact us or buy from us. We are the data controller for your personal information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
- Contact details: name, billing and delivery address, phone number and email address.
- Order information: the products you buy, return or ask about, and your order history.
- Project information: room sizes, floor plans, photos and other details you send us for a quote.
- Payment information: payments are handled by Shopify and our payment providers. We do not store full card details.
- Communications: emails, messages and call notes when you contact us.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To quote for, process and deliver your order, handle returns and provide customer support (to perform our contract with you).
- To design and calculate heating systems you ask us about.
- To send marketing emails, only where you have agreed or where you are an existing customer and have not opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our website and show relevant advertising, using cookies where you have consented.
- To prevent fraud, keep our systems secure and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments.
- Couriers and suppliers who deliver your order, including suppliers who send goods directly to you.
- Our installation partner, Standard Electrical Services, only if you ask us to put you in touch for installation.
- Accounting, IT, email and advertising service providers who work on our behalf.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Shopify, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for six years, as required for tax purposes. Quote enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to two years. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to make the store work, remember your basket and, with your consent, measure visits and show advertising. You can change your cookie choices through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
Your rights

Shopify

Children
Our Services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website.
