The Herschel Manhattan is a powerful 3kW infrared heater built for bigger spaces such as restaurant and bar terraces, large patios and particularly cold commercial interiors. Two 1.5kW low-glare carbon lamps reach working temperature in seconds, and mirror reflectors direct the warmth forwards towards your guests.
Its extruded aluminium body is designed for a long working life outdoors, and it can be fixed to a wall or a ceiling to suit the layout of your space.

Controls
A remote control is supplied, giving you both power levels and a timer of up to 24 hours in one-hour steps. Where hard-wired control is preferred, the remote can be bypassed and the heater switched by a device such as a push-button timer or thermostat. Please note that in remote bypass mode the Manhattan runs at full power only.
Installation
The Manhattan comes with a fitted plug and 2 m cable. Because a 3 kW heater runs close to the limit of a 13 A socket, we recommend hard-wiring it into a fused connection unit on a suitable circuit by a qualified electrician. It is a fixed wall or ceiling heater. Our official installation partner Standard Electrical Services can install it, including the fused connection unit and any external controls. As with all infrared heaters, wind reduces the reach of the heat, so on exposed terraces plan for heaters to be closer together.
