Carbon Heating Film is a simple, ultra-thin, yet highly durable underfloor heating solution. Designed to be installed directly beneath floating floor coverings. This innovative product works by harnessing the electric resistance of the carbon heating element, delivering efficient, even warmth across any space. With an impressive life expectancy of 50 years, it stands out as a reliable and long-lasting choice for modern heating systems.
Versatile Heating for Every Need
The Underfloor Heating Film can function as either a primary or supplementary heating source. Its remarkably thin profile makes it ideal for retrofit projects, as it won’t noticeably alter floor levels. This makes it perfect for upgrading existing spaces without the need for significant renovation.
Suitable for a wide range of environments, including homes, offices and commercial places, hotels, schools, mobile homes etc.
The heating film can be easily installed under solid floating floor coverings, making it a versatile solution for various flooring types.
Rapid Heating and Custom Fit
One of the standout features of Carbon Heating Film is its quick heat-up time—reaching operating temperature within just 15 to 20 seconds. This ensures rapid warmth, making spaces comfortable almost instantly.
During installation, the film can be cut to size, allowing for a precise fit tailored to the specific area being heated. It operates on a standard AC 230V supply, ensuring compatibility with existing electrical systems.
Safe and Adaptable
While Carbon Heating Film is suitable for many areas of the home or workplace, in special locations (rooms with a bath or a shower) Underfloor Heating Cable Mat should be used.
When paired with MDF Dual Board DUO, the Carbon Heating Film can also be used under carpet and vinyl floors.
Experience Modern Comfort
With its exceptional durability, energy efficiency, and adaptability, Carbon Heating Film offers an advanced solution for underfloor heating. Whether you're upgrading your home, office, or commercial space, this innovative product ensures warmth, comfort, and peace of mind for decades to come.

Measure Your Room:
Take the dimensions of the room you wish to heat.
Install XPS Thermal Insulation Board:
Cover the entire floor area with XPS Thermal Insulation Board. This board prevents heat loss to the subfloor while providing a stable underlay for both the Carbon Heating Film and the final floor covering.
Secure the Insulation Boards:
Use Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape to secure the XPS Thermal Insulation Boards together. You will need one roll of tape for every 15 square metres. This tape will also secure the Carbon Heating Film and the Polyester Vapor Barrier.
Lay the Carbon Heating Film:
Use Carbon Heating Film to cover the floor. It is available in three widths: 50 cm, 80 cm, and 100 cm. While the film can be cut into individual strips, its width cannot be altered. Leave a gap of 50 to 100 mm around the walls. Ensure the strips are laid side by side without overlapping. Avoid placing heating film under built-in furniture, such as kitchen cabinets or fitted wardrobes.
Secure the Heating Film:
Fix the Carbon Heating Film strips in place using Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape.
Connect the Heating Film:
Use Connection Crimps to connect the heating film strips, with two crimps per strip.
Crimp Securely:
Use a Crimping Tool to ensure the crimps are tightly secured.
Install Cold Tail Leads:
Use brown and blue 1.5 mm double-insulated flexible Cold Tail Leads (approximately 10 metres per room) to connect the crimps and supply power from the Thermostat.
Conceal the Connections:
Cover the crimps with Bitumen Tape, using around 20 cm tape per heating film strip.
Cover the Heating Film Ends:
Cover the unsealed heating film strip ends with Green Termination Discs (two discs per heating film strip).
Add the Vapor Barrier:
Cover the entire installation with a Polyester Vapor Barrier. Tape the barrier strips together using Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape.
Following these steps ensures a safe, efficient, and long-lasting underfloor heating system tailored to your space.
