Electric Underfloor Heating Film is a simple, ultra-thin, yet highly durable underfloor heating solution. Designed to be installed directly beneath floating floor coverings. This innovative product works by harnessing the electric resistance of the carbon heating element, delivering efficient, even warmth across any space. With an impressive life expectancy of 50 years, it stands out as a reliable and long-lasting choice for modern heating systems.
Versatile Heating for Every Need
The Underfloor Heating Film can function as either a primary or supplementary heating source. Its remarkably thin profile makes it ideal for retrofit projects, as it won’t noticeably alter floor levels. This makes it perfect for upgrading existing spaces without the need for significant renovation.
Suitable for a wide range of environments, including homes, offices, commercial buildings, hotels, schools, mobile homes, and more.
The heating film can be easily installed under solid floating floor coverings, making it a versatile solution for various flooring types.
Rapid Heating and Custom Fit
One of the standout features of Electric Underfloor Heating Film is its quick heat-up time—reaching operating temperature within 15 to 20 seconds. This ensures rapid warmth, making spaces comfortable almost instantly.
During installation, the film can be cut to size, allowing for a precise fit tailored to the specific area being heated. It operates on a standard AC 230V supply, ensuring compatibility with existing electrical systems.
Safe and Adaptable
While the Electric Underfloor Heating Film is suitable for many areas of the home or workplace, in special locations (rooms with a bath or a shower), Underfloor Heating Cable Mat should be used.
When paired with MDF Dual Board DUO, the Carbon Heating Film can also be used under carpet and vinyl floors.
Experience Modern Comfort
With its exceptional durability, energy efficiency, and adaptability, the Electric Underfloor Heating Film offers an advanced solution for underfloor heating. Whether you're upgrading your home, office, or commercial space, this innovative product ensures warmth, comfort, and peace of mind for decades to come.

How to Calculate What Components You Need
Step-by-Step Guide
Measure Your Room:
Take the dimensions of the room you wish to heat.
Install XPS Thermal Insulation Board:
Cover the entire floor area with XPS Thermal Insulation Board. This board prevents heat loss to the subfloor while providing a stable base for the Carbon Heating Film and the final floor covering.
Secure the Insulation Boards:
Use Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape to secure the boards. One roll is needed for every 15 m². This tape is also used to secure the Carbon Heating Film and the Polyester Vapor Barrier.
Lay the Carbon Heating Film:
Available in 50 cm, 80 cm, and 100 cm widths. Leave a 50–100 mm gap around walls. Lay strips side-by-side without overlapping and avoid placing heating film under built-in furniture.
Secure the Heating Film:
Fix the strips using Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape.
Connect the Heating Film:
Use Connection Crimps — two per strip.
Crimp Securely:
Use a Crimping Tool to ensure tight connections.
Install Cold Tail Leads:
Use 1.5 mm insulated Cold Tail Leads to connect crimps to the thermostat.
Conceal the Connections:
Cover the crimps with Bitumen Tape.
Cover the Heating Film Ends:
Seal unconnected ends with Green Termination Discs.
Add the Vapor Barrier:
Cover the entire installation with a Polyester Vapor Barrier, taping the seams securely.
