Stop your bathroom mirror steaming up. A mirror demister pad is a thin heated sheet (about 1 mm) that sticks to the back of the mirror. When the bathroom light is switched on, the pad gently warms the glass so the area above it stays clear, even straight after a hot shower. Nothing shows from the front.

Why choose a demister pad

• Clear mirror after every shower or bath, no wiping.
• Fits behind new or existing mirrors (when the mirror is taken off the wall).
• Very low running cost: the smallest pad uses just 13 W, about the same as a light bulb.
• Self-adhesive and ultra slim, so the mirror still sits flat on the wall.

Choosing the size

31 sizes, in widths of 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 mm and lengths from 250 to 1490 mm. Pick a pad a little smaller than your mirror, so it sits clear of the edges, corners and any holes or cut-outs. Fitting

• Must be fitted and connected by a qualified electrician, to BS 7671.
• Peel off the backing, press the pad on evenly and smooth out any air bubbles.
• Connect to a switched lighting circuit protected by a 6 A MCB and RCD (a separate switch is also fine).
• Fix the mirror with a solvent-free, acrylic-free mirror adhesive.
• Mirrors with a foil or metal backing, and any metal frame, must be earthed. Ask us for a grounding pad.
