Carbon Underfloor Heating Kit PRO, 110 W/m², 1 m film
Carbon Underfloor Heating Kit PRO, 110 W/m², 1 m film
Price includes VAT Shipping calculated at checkout.
A complete carbon infrared underfloor heating film kit with 1 m wide, 110 W/m² film, packed in one box and ready to install. The gentler 110 W/m² output suits well-insulated rooms, new builds, floor coverings up to 14 mm and background heating. Each kit has the film, connection crimps, cold tails, tapes and a polyester vapour barrier for a 10, 15, 20 or 25 m² room, for a Class II installation, and costs less than buying the same parts separately. Thermal insulation board, crimping tool and thermostat are available as optional extras below.
Need more heat? See the 130 W/m² Kit PRO with 1 m film. For narrow rooms, see the 110 W/m² Kit PRO with 50 cm film.
Why choose the Kit PRO with 1 m wide film
This version of our Carbon Underfloor Heating Kit PRO uses 1 m wide carbon heating film instead of 50 cm. It covers the same area with half the number of strips, so there are fewer cuts, fewer crimped connections and less time on your knees. It is the quickest way to heat larger, regular-shaped rooms and open-plan areas, and a good fit for builders and installers fitting out whole floors.
Like every Kit PRO, you choose the kit size for the room and everything arrives together in one box. It is cheaper than buying the same components separately, and nothing gets forgotten on the day.
Every Kit PRO includes a polyester vapour barrier. The heating film on its own is single insulated. The vapour barrier laid over it is the second layer of insulation that makes the installation Class II (double insulated), as required by the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
The crimping tool is not included as standard, so you don't pay for one you already have. If you need one, or a thermostat or insulation board, they are available as optional extras.
Why choose 110 W/m² film?
Our standard 130 W/m² film suits most rooms. The 110 W/m² film gives a gentler heat output, and it is the better choice when:
- The room loses little heat. Well-insulated rooms, new builds and renovated homes need less output to stay warm, so 110 W/m² is enough.
- The floor covering is up to 14 mm thick. Laminate, click vinyl and thinner engineered wood let the heat through easily, so the lower output still warms the room well.
- It is background or top-up heating. If the film works alongside a heat pump, radiators or another heat source rather than being the only heating, 110 W/m² gives comfortable warm floors.
- You want a larger area on one thermostat. At 110 W/m², one 16 A thermostat can run up to about 33 m² of film, against about 28 m² at 130 W/m².
Not sure? If the room has large windows, older walls with little insulation, or a thick floor covering, choose the 130 W/m² kit instead, or send us a floor plan and we'll advise.
Kit sizes and prices
Choose the kit that matches the heated area of your room. All kits use our 110 W/m² film, 1 m wide.
| Kit size | Heating film | Product code | Price (inc. VAT) |

Each kit runs on a single 16 A thermostat (the 25 m² kit draws 2.75 kW).
Before you order: thermal insulation board
The kit does not include thermal insulation board. XPS Thermal Insulation Board must be laid under all carbon heating film. It stops heat being lost into the subfloor.
The board must cover the full room area, wall to wall, wherever the new flooring goes, not only the heated area. The 6 mm board is also the underlay for the final floor covering, so no additional underlay is needed.
To work out how much to order, measure the full floor area of the room and add about 10% extra for waste and cutting.
About the heating film
Carbon infrared heating film is a very thin, heat-producing film laid under the floor covering. It is made with a printing technique and works through the electrical resistance of the carbon element. It has a life expectancy of up to 50 years and comes with a 20-year guarantee.
Underfloor infrared heating can be the main source of heat or work alongside an existing system. The film is only about 0.34 mm thick, so it won't noticeably raise the floor, which makes it well suited to existing houses and flats as well as new builds. It is also used in offices, restaurants, hotels, nurseries and caravans.
The film in this kit is 1 m wide and can be cut every 20 cm, so it can be tailored to the area being heated. Cut the roll into lengths and connect it with the crimps supplied. The film produces heat as soon as it is switched on, so the room warms up within minutes. Each room or heating zone is controlled by a thermostat with a floor temperature sensor.
Floor coverings
The film is designed for floating floors such as laminate, engineered wood and click vinyl. For carpet, carpet tiles and soft vinyl, install it together with Flexel ECOMAX-DUO, which gives a stable, heat-spreading surface above the film.
Where not to use it
- Not suitable under ceramic or stone floor tiles, or under screed or self-levelling compound.
- Must not be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms or other wet areas ("special locations" in BS 7671). For those rooms use electric heating mats or aluminium heating foil instead.
